Setting up your Preferences in TextEdit

To set up your preferences in TextEdit:

Click on TextEdit > Preferences > Click on Plain Text > Switch to the Open and Save tab > Check the top two boxes and uncheck the 4th box > Click the red button. Then go to Format on the menu bar and click Make Plain Text
